Where did October go?
The month has flown by. It seems were are too busy to even catch our breaths. Mike is busy with work and school. Aracely is busy with work, school, blogs, motherhood and at times being a wife. This month was filled with a birthday, a 10 year anniversary, back to school for the kids, potty training, being released from Activities Committee at church and capped off tomorrow with Halloween.

Popcorn
Two days ago while eating popcorn, Lauren decided to put an unpopped corn kernel up her left nostril. She did not tell anyone but we noticed that something was bothering her nose. Since she was eating pop corn, Mike made the immediate conclusion that she might have put something up up there. Sure enough, there it was, lodged in her nostril. Because her nose is so tiny, it was not too hard to squeeze it out and without a visit to the emergency room!
Mike mentioned the time when he was about the same age as Lauren when he stuck a chocolate covered peanut up his nose. That required going to three different doctors before they found one that could get it out. He was put onto a gurney with a straight-jacket to keep him still. A very traumatic experience! It's funny to see history repeat itself in our children.
